Gentle Laser Skin Revitalization, Now Upgraded to Super MOXI
“I want brighter, more even skin, but I can’t hide for a week.”
That is the most common thing we hear from patients in St. Johns who have been putting off laser treatment. They want the sun damage gone, but not at the cost of a week indoors.
MOXI by Sciton was built for exactly that patient. It is a gentle, non-ablative laser that improves tone, texture, and sun damage with about a day of downtime, and it works on every skin type in every season.
New Beauty Company Aesthetics offers the newest version, Super MOXI, which treats the face in under five minutes and makes the neck, chest, arms, and hands an easy add-on.

Ready to rejuvenate for less? Our monthly specials feature exclusive offers on your favorite med spa treatments, from advanced skincare to body sculpting. Discover your perfect glow at an unbeatable price!
Is This You?
- Sun spots, freckles, or blotchy tone from years of Florida sun
- Skin that looks dull or tired no matter how well you sleep
- Early fine lines and rough texture you would rather prevent than correct later
- Melasma-prone or deeper skin that has been turned away from other lasers
- Sun damage on your chest, arms, or hands, not just your face
- A calendar that allows one day of pinkness, not a week of peeling
If any of these fit, MOXI is worth a consultation.
What Is MOXI?
MOXI is a fractional, non-ablative laser made by Sciton. It uses a single 1927 nm wavelength that is absorbed by water in the upper layers of skin.
Instead of removing the surface, MOXI places thousands of microscopic columns of heat into the skin. Those columns trigger repair, and over the following days the damaged, pigmented cells are pushed out and replaced.
Because nothing is removed, the skin stays intact. That is why MOXI is safe for all six Fitzpatrick skin types and can be done year-round, including through a Florida summer.
What Is Super MOXI?
Super MOXI is Sciton’s 2026 update to MOXI, released in September 2026. It uses the same 1927 nm wavelength and treats the same concerns, so everything MOXI could do, Super MOXI still does.
What changed is the delivery. Sciton calls it High Density Delivery, and it comes down to three upgrades.
- Twin beams. The handpiece delivers twice as many columns of energy per pass, so treatments run up to twice as fast. A full face takes under five minutes.
- A more powerful 16W diode. Larger areas like the back, full arms, and legs become practical in one sitting, typically four to eight minutes each.
- Three Quick Start levels plus Advanced Mode. Your provider can pick a preset or fine-tune energy and density for your skin.
Less time under the handpiece also means less heat in the skin. Sciton points to that low thermal impact as the reason Super MOXI suits melasma-prone skin.
The Three Super MOXI Treatment Levels
Every MOXI treatment is set to one of three levels. The level decides how much energy goes in, how much of the surface is treated, and how much downtime to expect.
Level 1: Glow & Go
Low energy for prevention and maintenance. This is the “prejuvenation” treatment for patients in their 20s and 30s, or anyone who wants a refresh before an event with almost no visible recovery.
Level 2: Clarify & Correct
The middle setting, built for visible sun damage and early signs of aging. Most first-time patients with pigment concerns start here.
Level 3: Revive & Renew
The highest density setting, for more advanced skin quality correction. Recovery runs a few days longer than the lower levels, and numbing cream is used.
Your provider at New Beauty Company Aesthetics chooses the level at your consultation based on your skin, your goals, and how much downtime you can take.

What MOXI Treats
- Sun damage and sun spots
- Uneven skin tone and pigmentation, including melasma-prone skin
- Dull, tired-looking skin
- Rough texture and enlarged-looking pores
- Fine lines and early signs of aging
- Minor skin laxity
Treatment areas include the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, back, and legs. With Super MOXI’s speed, most patients add at least one body area to their face treatment.
Results You Can Expect
Day 1: Pink and warm
Skin looks mildly sunburned for the rest of the day. Makeup can go back on after 24 hours.
Days 2 to 5: The sandpaper phase
Tiny dark dots called MENDs appear across the treated area. These are the pigmented cells being carried to the surface. They feel like fine sandpaper and slough off between days three and five.
Days 5 to 7: The glow
Fresh skin comes through. This is when most patients notice brighter, more even tone, and results continue to build over the following weeks.
Sciton recommends a series of two to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart, then maintenance sessions as needed. Your provider will map out the series at your consultation.
MOXI vs. HALO TRIBRID: Which One Is Right for You?
Both are Sciton lasers, and both use the 1927 nm wavelength for pigment. The difference is depth and downtime.
MOXI is the lighter option. It treats the upper skin, takes minutes, and has about a day of downtime. It is the right choice for prevention, maintenance, pigment, and dullness.
HALO TRIBRID adds two more wavelengths that resurface the outer layer and remodel collagen deep in the dermis. It is the stronger choice for scars, deeper lines, and heavy texture, with three to five days of downtime.
Many patients use both: a HALO TRIBRID session once or twice a year, and MOXI in between to keep the results going.
MOXI + BBL HEROic: The Sciton Pairing
MOXI and BBL HEROic are designed to run in the same visit. MOXI handles pigment and texture, and BBL handles redness, broken capillaries, and the brown spots that sit deeper.
Together they cover nearly every color and texture concern on the face with one appointment and one recovery. Ask your provider about combining the two.
What to Expect at Your MOXI Appointment
- Consultation. Your provider reviews your skin, sun exposure, and history of melasma or pigment changes, then picks the treatment level and any body areas to add.
- Numbing. Topical numbing cream is optional at Level 1 and applied before Level 2 and 3 treatments.
- Treatment. The handpiece glides over the skin. The face takes under five minutes with Super MOXI, and larger areas take four to eight minutes each. Most patients describe warmth and mild prickling.
- Aftercare. Wash morning and night with a gentle cleanser, keep skin moisturized, and wear a physical sunscreen every day. Avoid direct sun and let the MENDs fall off on their own.
Your MOXI Questions, Answered
Is Super MOXI a different treatment from MOXI?
No. Super MOXI is the 2026 version of the same MOXI laser, with twin beams and a stronger diode. It treats the same concerns at the same wavelength, up to twice as fast.
Does MOXI hurt?
Most patients find it very tolerable, and Level 1 is often done without numbing. Higher levels use topical numbing cream. Expect warmth and light prickling during the pass.
How much downtime should I plan for?
Plan for one day of pinkness, then a few days of sandpaper-textured skin that most people cover with makeup. Level 3 runs a few days longer. Nobody needs to take time off work.
How many treatments will I need?
Sciton recommends two to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Many patients see a difference after the first session, and the series builds on it.
Can I have MOXI if I have darker skin or melasma?
Yes. MOXI is designed for all skin types, and Sciton specifically cites its low thermal impact as suited to melasma-prone skin. Your provider will still assess recent tanning at the consultation.
Can I have MOXI in summer?
Yes. MOXI is a year-round treatment. Daily sunscreen and avoiding direct sun during the first week matter more than the season.
